Carl’s Jr (Hardee’s in other parts of the United States) has partnered with Green Burrito. So when you go to get a burger you can also get some Mexican food.
This is the Steak Street Taco. It’s a corn tortilla, charbroiled steak, onion, cilantro, and avocado sauce. It’s wrapped in a piece of foil to keep it warm. Please know that the steak street tacos are the only version of tacos that is labeled as gluten free on their menu. There are steak super nachos that are gluten free. Those are the only two options – but better than nothing!
The flavor is good. If you’ve ever stopped by one of those taco trucks and had street tacos these come real close to those! I was pleasantly surprised. For a fast food place this was fresh tasting, good flavor and is overall “do able”.
The price on it is far more affordable than the standard burgers at Carl’s Jr. You will probably need 2 tacos to make it a meal. Maybe 3 tacos for a meal depending on your appetite.
Also, none of the components share a fryer so the risk of cross contamination is lower. The one component of cross contamination would be employees not washing their hands or change out gloves before handling your food, so be aware.
